The Water Projects

Safe drinking water is still a big milestone for a lot of struggling Tanzanians and communities from the nomadic groups that fend off days on end to get the precious commodity for their domestic and animal use.

Women bear the brunt of looking for the water and sometimes trek several kilometers to be in a position to access their daily water requirements, meaning half their working hours are lost daily while they are out searching for this precious commodity.

Scarcity of water affects most families as a whole as school children cannot get their meals prepared on time before they embark on their school schedules as well as bathing routines.

This spirals down to school going children abandoning school to assist their mothers in fetching water or missing out on homework and revisions as much on their time before and after school is spent on fetching water many kilometers away.
